Mature Japanese Merlot from Shiojiri. The wine combines ripe, lush fruit with subtle oak spice and a smooth, balanced body. Marufuji deliberately focuses on elegance rather than heaviness.

Origin & Style

The Merlot grapes come from the high-altitude, cool growing areas of Kikyoga-hara and Gohara in Shiojiri. Well-drained soils and the continental climate promote clear fruit and an elegant structure. Marufuji has been working with local contract growers here since 1998.
